Is removing first and last names enough to anonymise a document?
No. A document can identify a person without containing their name: an address, a rare job title, a precise date, a file number or a combination of several items may be enough. Removing only direct identifiers reduces exposure but does not guarantee anonymity. In many cases, the result should rather be considered pseudonymised if re-identification remains possible.
What is a mapping table and why must it be protected?
A mapping table links the aliases used in a pseudonymised document to the original information. For example, it may show that “PERS_1” corresponds to a specific person. It makes it possible to restore the original information after processing, but it is also what makes re-identification possible. It must therefore stay separate from the pseudonymised content and be accessible only to authorised people. In NYMETRA’s normal operation, this mapping stays in the client’s environment and is not sent to the AI provider.
Is NYMETRA a subscription?
Not the licence itself. The initial purchase gives a right to use the version acquired with no time limit, subject to the licence terms. A new Solo or Team licence includes 12 months of Basic service; Premium can be chosen at purchase. After this first period, renewing the service is optional. Without renewal, you keep the right to use the version you acquired, but no longer receive the support, compatibility maintenance, updates or new versions provided by the service level concerned.
